Labor positions for active labor

🤰Standing and walking

Going up and down stairs sideways effectively assists pelvis opening. During contractions, you can lean against the wall or on your partner.👨‍👧

🤰Rocking and slow dancing

Consider yourself in a prom having a beautiful waltz danced to a classic slow dance song with your partner.💃🏻😃 Swaying back and forth in rhythm can be comforting during labor.

🤰Sitting

Sitting on the bed🛏️ or the chair with pillows supporting your back might help you relax. Choose wherever you feel most comfortable. Also you can try to sit leaning forward to take some pressure off your back.🪑

🤰Sitting backward on a chair

Pick an armless chair🪑 and face backward. You can put a pillow between the chair and your belly and lean on it while resting your arms and head on the top of the chair. Sitting leaning your body forward like this helps take some pressure off your back.😃
